Setting up a session for acoustic guitar
In this chapter, you will demonstrate your ability to set up a recording session in 207B for an acoustic guitarist and achieve a full stereo guitar sound. You will need to find a guitarist to perform a complete song. You may add additional tracks if vocals or other accompaniment is desired. Your final project should highlight this guitar track.

Experiment with a few different mixing techniques and spacing until you get the desired results. Keep track of your experimentation miking even if you don't use it in the final project. Add a vocal, piano or software instrument track to accompany this recording.
Final Project
Your completed project will need to be posted to SoundCloud and uploaded to your website with a title and artist statement describing your process in this project.
You will need to cover the following aspects:
- Create a project with audio tracks representing the configuration used in the best practices page
- Choose the video that corresponds with a stereo image (2 mics) or singular miking technique
- Create a cue mix for the headphone amplifier
- Set appropriate gain levels for each mic
- Apply an EQ setting for your guitar tracks
- Add at least on effect on your guitar tracks
